Posting to newsgroups

How can I post?

There is no way to post messages via news2mail.com.

For most users the easiest way to post a message to a newsgroup is the use of one of the Web Newsservices..

If you don't like the web-interfaces you can setup access with a Newsreader.You will need a Newsserver, that allows posting. Commercial Newsservers generally allow posting, while most free Newsservers do not permit posting.

What should you post?

Before you write a message to the usenet you should sit down and think a little bit: Your message will be read by a large number of people and probably archived forever. The following rules should be the minimum requirement for each posting you do

• Make sure to use the right group. Posting things, that are offtopic is not popular.
• If you ask a question try to search the answer first in an archive such as www.google.com/groups
• Read the Group for some days to get an idea how usual messages look like.
• Be polite. Respect other thoughts and cultures.
• Write understandable. The message will be read all over the world.
• Do not quote too much. Messages, that quote an existing message and add only a few words are not good
• You should not use your real mail-address in the usenet. Otherwise Spammers will quickly get hold on it.
